Cedarcrest entered their tilt with Highline on Friday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Pirates. The Red Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Murphy Vliem, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Bottemiller, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Cedarcrest's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Highline, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Coming up, Cedarcrest will welcome Interlake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Highline, they will head out on the road to challenge Renton at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Red Hawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
