Soccer Game Preview: Fairfax vs. West Potomac

The Fairfax Lions will head out on the road to face off against the West Potomac Wolverines at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Fairfax has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while West Potomac will arrive with four straight wins.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Fairfax's offense. They came up short against McLean last Thursday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Fairfax can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 237th, while McLean are ranked 51st).

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, West Potomac made sure to put some goals up on the board against Justice last Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-2 victory over Wolves.

West Potomac pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Fairfax, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
