Westwood proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 41) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Burney Raiders 37-35. The 37-point effort marked the Lumberjacks' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Burney's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Fields, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Fields is now averaging an impressive 8.4 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Avery Mitchell, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Westwood's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Burney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
