Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Rams vs. Cardinal Stritch Cardinals

The Rogers Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Cardinal Stritch Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Cardinal Stritch took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Rogers, who comes in off a win.

Rogers is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 60-31 victory over Scott. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 404th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cardinal Stritch played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 81-57 to Maumee Valley Country Day. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-23.

Cardinal Stritch's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rogers, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything went Rogers' way against Cardinal Stritch in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Rogers made off with a 71-50 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rogers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
