Softball Preview: Lindblom Eagles vs. Carver Challengers
After two games on the road, Lindblom is heading back home. They will take on the Carver Challengers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lindblom knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past six contests -- so hopefully Carver likes a good challenge.

Aviana Gonzalez was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Gonzalez was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Kiersten Gaines was a standout: she went 5-for-5 with a home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. She has been hot recently, having posted four or more hits the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Laylah Outlaw, who scored five runs and stole two bases while going 5-for-5.
Meanwhile, Carver was not able to break out of their rough patch last Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 24-0 to Lindblom. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, Carver's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
