Basketball Recap: Tohatchi Beats Crownpoint for Their Sixth Straight Win

Tohatchi won the last time they faced Crownpoint and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Tohatchi Cougars enjoyed a cozy 50-32 win over the Crownpoint Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Courtney Craig, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine rebounds. Craig is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miley McMillan, who posted nine points.

Tohatchi's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. As for Crownpoint, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

Tohatchi has already played their next matchup, a 51-39 win against Thoreau on the 26th. Crownpoint does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
