Volleyball Recap: Pueblo East Wins Going Away Against Elizabeth

Pueblo East barely beat Elizabeth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals on Tuesday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

While Pueblo East won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-16, 25-18.

Ashlynn Koch paced Pueblo East's offense, picking up ten kills. Koch got some help from Cheyanne Ortiz and her 26 assists.

Pueblo East now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Elizabeth, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pueblo East will head out to take on Air Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Elizabeth, they will venture away from home to challenge Discovery Canyon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
