Softball Recap: Manheim Central Comes Up Short

Manheim Central and Northern Lebanon pushed the score to 13-7 the last time they played Northern Lebanon, but on Monday defenses reigned supreme. The Barons fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for the Barons in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost five in a row.

Manheim Central's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Northern Lebanon, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Manheim Central will challenge Elizabethtown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Bears have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Northern Lebanon, they will host Upper Dauphin Area at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight.
