Greenbrier entered their tilt with Pope on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-7 W against the Greyhounds. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wolfpack's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia flag football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Greyhounds are ranked 50th).

Greenbrier's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Pope, they moved to 2-2 with that loss, which also ended their 21-game winning streak.

Greenbrier wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 20-18 victory against North Oconee on the 16th. As for Pope, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 25-0 defeat against Milton on the 9th.
