Softball Recap: Seneca East Triumphs

Seneca East posted their closest victory since April 16th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Columbian Tornadoes 10-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Ella Martin was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Enders, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Seneca East's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Columbian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season.

Seneca East and Columbian are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will take on St. Paul at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Seneca East's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Flyers have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Columbian, they will challenge Norwalk at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
