Baseball Game Preview: Brandywine Bobcats vs. New Buffalo Bison

Brandywine is a perfect 8-0 against New Buffalo since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bison at 10:00 a.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Brandywine is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since April 12th on Thursday. They fell just short of Edwardsburg by a score of 4-2. The loss continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Eddies: they've now lost six in a row.

Kaeden Warfield was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last 14 games he's played.

Meanwhile, New Buffalo has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.88 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-7 to Michigan Lutheran, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Buffalo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Brandywine, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.
