Basketball Game Preview: Chamblee Bulldogs vs. Lakeside Vikings

The Chamblee Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Lakeside Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chamblee knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Lakeside likes a good challenge.

Chamblee will head into Friday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They lost 88-68 to Tri-Cities. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (63), Chamblee still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Lakeside ended up a good deal behind Woodward Academy on Saturday and lost 66-47. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 364th, while the War Eagles are ranked fourth).

Chamblee will have to contain Sterling Pritchett as he made an impact in Lakeside's last game. He went 8 for 17 on his way to 20 points and six steals. Those six steals gave Pritchett a new career-high. Nate Bennion was another key player, putting up nine points and six rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Lakeside and nudges their season record down to 4-14. As for Chamblee, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Chamblee strolled past Lakeside in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 53-37. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chamblee since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
