Basketball Recap: Oak Park-River Forest Takes a Loss

Oak Park-River Forest lost against New Trier back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Oak Park-River Forest Huskies took an 80-74 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Trier Trevians. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (64), the Huskies still had to take the loss.

Oak Park-River Forest has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for New Trier, they pushed their record up to 18-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oak Park-River Forest will welcome York at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Trier, they will host Evanston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Trier has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 202 points over their last three contests.
