It was a good run, but Ridgeway unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kirby Cougars. The Roadrunners were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 76-75.

Despite the loss, Ridgeway still got an impressive performance from Demario Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in boards. Kareem Ollins was another key player, putting up ten points and three blocks.

Even though they lost, Ridgeway smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 12 consecutive matchups.

Ridgeway's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Kirby, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-9 record this season.

Ridgeway didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-55 victory against Brighton on the 1st. As for Kirby, they have also already played their next match, a 68-57 win against Millington Central on the 1st.
