Whiteford had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Roosevelt Bears.

Whiteford's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Roosevelt, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-9.

Coincidentally, Whiteford and Roosevelt will both be playing Pinckney the next time they take the field. The Bears will head out to face the Pirates at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bobcats will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
