Softball Recap: Damascus Hornets vs. Urbana Hawks
Damascus entered their tilt with Urbana with 13 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 14. Everything went their way against the Urbana Hawks on Monday as they made off with an 8-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Damascus, who have now won 14 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Alyssa Clark was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Clark has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Clark was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a home run, five RBI, and a stolen base.
In other batting news, Falyn Quick was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Josie Hoffacker, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
