Baseball Recap: Overton Takes a Loss

Overton lost against Hillsboro last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcats lost 10-1 to the Burros. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Overton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landen Griffey, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Overton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Hillsboro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Overton will face off against Stewarts Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsboro, they will square off against East Nashville Magnet at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Burros surely won't give up without a fight.
