After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Albuquerque, West Mesa was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-61 win over the Los Lunas Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mustangs have posted since January 21st.

West Mesa's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Los Lunas, they dropped their record down to 6-20 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, West Mesa will challenge Atrisco Heritage Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Atrisco Heritage Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. Los Lunas does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
