Baseball Recap: Cascade Victorious

While Cascade didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They skirted past the Anamosa Raiders 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cougars have posted since June 27, 2024.

Cascade has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Anamosa, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cascade beat the Raiders by a score of 8-0 later that day.
