Baseball Recap: Lincoln Park Academy Takes a Loss

Lincoln Park Academy was the 2-0 winner over Westwood when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. Lincoln Park Academy fell just short of Westwood by a score of 7-6 on Monday.

Brock Braswell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Chase Cardin, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Lincoln Park Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Westwood, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln Park Academy will venture away from home to face off against Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westwood, they will head out to challenge Tradition Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
