Volleyball Recap: Belmont Extends Winning Streak to Three

Belmont had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Arlington Spy Ponders as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Belmont never let Arlington on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-15.

MardyLee Kozelian paced Belmont's offense, picking up eight kills. Kozelian got some help from Sophia Qin and her 11 assists. Zulal Merdinian controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Belmont's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Arlington, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Belmont will challenge rival Lexington at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Arlington is set to square off against their familiar foe Woburn Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
