After losing to Fenwick the last time they met, Niles Notre Dame decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Dons who were credited with the win on Monday. The Niles Notre Dame Dons got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Fenwick Friars' two. The victory was all the more spectacular given Niles Notre Dame's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Fenwick are ranked 79th).
