Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tyler Newcomb and James Jones Lead Bartlett Yancey to Victory

There's no place like home for Bartlett Yancey, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Williams Bulldogs by a score of 48-35 on Wednesday. This was payback for the Buccaneers, who suffered an 83-41 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Bartlett Yancey to victory were James Jones and Tyler Newcomb. Jones made all 7 shots he took to post 15 points and seven boards, while Newcomb went 6 of 10 to rack up 16 points. Those 15 points gave Jones a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony Horne, who posted six points and ten rebounds.

Bartlett Yancey smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 15 consecutive matchups.
