Volleyball Recap: Marshfield Comes Up Short

Marshfield's tournament run continued when they took on Freedom on Friday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Irish.

Sophia Olson paced Marshfield's offense, picking up six kills. Olson got some help from Paige Schlagenhaft and her eight assists. Olson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Marshfield now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Freedom, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Marshfield will be taking part in a tournament against Sheboygan Falls at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a three-game losing streak. After both having extra time off, Freedom and Denmark will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Irish's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
