League recap: North Callaway extends undefeated streak to four games

Mid-Missouri league recap: 5/7/12

North Callaway (16-4, 4-0) has won four games in a row, Mid-Missouri's longest active win streak. The streak was extended by another 3 games over the past week, includinga 2-1 victory over Fulton and a 12-3 win over Fatima. The team's hottest hitter over the past week was Zach Lavy, who had five hits and drove in five runs.

The Thunderbirds went from 69 to 58 in the national rankings since last week after going 3-0 in the past seven days.

North Callaway boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. The Thunderbirds's pitchers have been charged with only 89 hits and have struck out 173 batters. Collin Brinker is tops on the staff with 89 Ks.
