Volleyball Recap: Limon Takes a Loss

Limon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Calhan Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Badgers of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Limon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Braelyn Malcom had 11 digs and four aces. Malcom is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Limon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Calhan, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Limon will host Burlington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Badgers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calhan, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Peyton at 5:00 p.m.
