Softball Recap: Preston Comes Up Short

Preston came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-1 to the Southern Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 10-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Preston saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Liston, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Liston is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

Preston now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Southern, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Preston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 loss against John Marshall on the 29th. As for Southern, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-2 win against Hampshire on the 29th.
