Football Game Preview: Coalfield Yellow Jackets vs. Cloudland Highlanders + Official Tickets

The Coalfield Yellow Jackets will host the Cloudland Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Coalfield is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

On Friday, everything came up roses for Coalfield against Oliver Springs as the team secured a 48-7 win. The result was nothing new for the Yellow Jackets, who have now won eight games by 28 points or more so far this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Hadyn Headrick and Jaiden Bunch. Headrick rushed for 148 yards and three scores on only nine carries while Bunch rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Bunch is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 124 every time he's taken the field this season.

Coalfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 316 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Cloudland's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 54-22 loss at the hands of Hampton.

Coalfield's record is now 8-2. As for Cloudland, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Coalfield and Cloudland were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in November of 2021, but Coalfield came up empty-handed after a 22-21 loss.
