Volleyball Recap: Northampton County Comes Up Short at Home Against Roanoke Rapids + How To Watch

Northampton County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets on Monday. If the Jaguars were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 17-25, 25-17.

Annaleigha Hudson was the offensive standout of the game as she had four aces and three digs.

Roanoke Rapids wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Franklinton on the 19th. Hopefully Northampton County paid attention to the Yellowjackets' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
