Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Sachse's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Sachse won against Prestonwood Christian on Thursday with 55 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Sachse Mustangs wrapped up 2024 with a 55-37 win over the Horn Jaguars. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Jaguars are ranked 268th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sachse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Horn, they now have a losing record at 10-11.

Sachse wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 66-52 victory against Wakeland on the 28th. As for Horn, they will look to defend their home court on January 3, 2025 against DeSoto at 6:00 p.m.
