Basketball Recap: Centralia Panthers vs. Boonville Pirates
After flying high against North Callaway last Tuesday, Centralia came back down to earth. The Centralia Panthers fell 61-52 to the Boonville Pirates on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 65-57 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Centralia's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Boonville, the win was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Centralia will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on California at 5:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Boonville, they will face off against North Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
