Baseball Recap: Tyner Academy Comes Up Short

Tyner Academy lost against Marion County back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rams lost 13-2 to the Warriors.

Tyner Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was D'Terrius Dupree, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Tyner Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Marion County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Tyner Academy will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Berean Academy at 5:00 p.m. As for Marion County, they will head out to take on Whitwell at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
