Baseball Recap: Everett Takes a Loss

Everett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Stanwood Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-1 on Monday.

Everett saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca Morales, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Stanwood, their record is now 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Everett will challenge rival Archbishop Murphy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Stanwood is set to take on their familiar foe Marysville Getchell at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
