Basketball Recap: Crandall Drops Highest Score of Season Against Terrell

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crandall). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Terrell Tigers 77-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pirates have posted since February 9th.

Crandall's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lebron Mckelvy led the charge by going 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points in addition to eight assists and five boards. Those eight assists gave Mckelvy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Franklin, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds.

Crandall picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-12. As for Terrell, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crandall and Midlothian Heritage will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Terrell, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Terrell Tigers face off against the Ennis Lions at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
