Teague extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Bethanah Owens. The Teague Lions narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Elkhart Elks 30-27 thanks in part to Owens, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 13 or more in the last five games she's played.

Elkhart lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Shu'Nydeya Whitehead, who posted 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Waldon, who had nine points.

Teague now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Elkhart, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-22 record this season.

Teague has already played their next game, a 48-40 defeat against Rogers on the 10th. Elkhart does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
