Enfield is 7-1 against East Catholic since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Enfield will head out to face off against East Catholic at 3:45 p.m. Enfield's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so East Catholic's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Enfield came out on top against Manchester on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run second inning. The Eagles blew past the Red Hawks 12-0. Considering the Eagles have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Payten Stebbins made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for East Catholic's offense. They lost 10-0 to Edwin O. Smith on Wednesday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The win made it two in a row for Enfield and bumps their season record up to 11-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for East Catholic, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Enfield has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .440. However, it's not like East Catholic struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Enfield's way against East Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Enfield made off with a 22-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Enfield since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
