Veritas Academy is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Eagles a nine-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Veritas Academy Monarch will take on the Salem Christian Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Salem Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Veritas Academy, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Veritas Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over the Eagles, taking the game 65-52. The win was just what Veritas Academy needed coming off of a 66-29 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-24, which was the final score in Salem Christian's tilt against the Jaguars on Monday.
Veritas Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Salem Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
Things could have been worse for Veritas Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-48 loss to the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January of 2023.
