Basketball Game Preview: Nicolet Knights vs. West Bend West Spartans

Nicolet has gone 10-0 against West Bend West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Nicolet Knights will challenge the West Bend West Spartans at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Nicolet's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Thursday, Nicolet didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Homestead, but they still walked away with a 76-72 win.

Nicolet's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Bolden, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 24 points in addition to eight assists and seven rebounds. The game was Bolden's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rashaad Davis, who went 10 of 20 en route to 23 points.

Meanwhile, West Bend West entered their tilt with Whitefish Bay on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged the Blue Dukes out 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Spartans have posted since December 28, 2023.

West Bend West's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for Nicolet, their record is now 11-2.

Nicolet took their win against West Bend West in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 79-58. The rematch might be a little tougher for Nicolet since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
