Football Recap: Metrolina Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Metrolina Christian Academy was feeling good fresh off their 28-0 takedown of Covenant Day last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors had to suffer through a 42-13 loss at the hands of the Charlotte Latin Hawks. The Warriors lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 30-29 score last time.

Although Metrolina Christian Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Cameron Kiehl and Gus Schnee.

De'Jon Douglas produced another solid performance rushing for 203 yards and three scores on only 13 carries for Charlotte Latin. Douglas is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 134 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Troy Logan, who threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns.

Metrolina Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Charlotte Latin, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metrolina Christian Academy will face off against North Wake S at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Charlotte Latin, they will challenge Christ School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Greenies have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matches.
