Football Recap: Avery Neathrey and Will Burton Secure Win for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the Beardstown Tigers with a sharp 38-13 win on Friday. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 30-12 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Leading Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia to victory were Will Burton and Avery Neathrey. Burton gained 118 total yards and two touchdowns, while Neathrey rushed for six yards and one touchdown. Burton also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Burton and Aiden Crews, who each picked up one sack apiece. Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia received some extra help from Cooper Parrish, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The win got Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia back to even at 3-3. As for Beardstown, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
