Football Recap: Limon Piles Up the Points Against Monte Vista + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Limon rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 50-14 win over the Monte Vista Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Badgers, who have now won nine contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Jacob Jaklich and Camdyn Tacha. Jaklich rushed for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries while Tacha gained 85 total yards. Those 140 rushing yards gave Jaklich a new career-high.

Limon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 342 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

Limon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brooks Scherrer and Brody Scherrer.

Limon pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Monte Vista, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Coming up, Limon will welcome Wray at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Badgers will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last four games. Monte Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
