Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Clearfield

Clearfield entered their tilt with Viewmont on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 8-5. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Hannah Hensley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 12 hits and racked up six Ks. Those six strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Skylar Davis was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2025. Alexandra Bingham was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Clearfield's record is now 8-1. As for Viewmont, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clearfield will face off against Northridge at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.13 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Viewmont, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Bountiful at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
