Softball Recap: Hunterdon Central Comes Up Short

Hunterdon Central lost to Robbinsville back in April of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils fell just short of the Ravens by a score of 3-2. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jess Yip was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hunterdon Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Tucker, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Hunterdon Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Robbinsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Hunterdon Central will face off against Randolph at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Robbinsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pope John XXIII at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
