Basketball Game Preview: Decatur Christian Warriors vs. Westfair Christian

The Decatur Christian Warriors will head out to take on Westfair Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Decatur Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 81 points back in November, they were much more limited against Faith Bible Christian Academy/Mid-America Prep back in November. They had to suffer through a 58-22 loss at the hands of the Frank. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Frank recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Westfair Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Illinois School for the Deaf on Tuesday and fell 63-61.

Decatur Christian will need to focus on slowing down Bram Walker, one of several Westfair Christian players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Breckon Sloter, who earned 12 points.

Decatur Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Westfair Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Decatur Christian took a serious blow against Westfair Christian when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 55-2. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Warriors were down 42-0.
