Basketball Recap: Republic County Comes Up Short

Republic County lost against Southeast of Saline back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Republic County Buffaloes had to suffer through a 54-25 loss at the hands of the Southeast of Saline Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Buffaloes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Trojans are ranked 74th).

Avery Stindt and Tallyn Melton certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Stindt posted ten points, while Melton scored six points.

Republic County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10. As for Southeast of Saline, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Republic County has already played their next matchup, a 71-27 defeat against Valley Heights on the 31st. As for Southeast of Saline, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-46 win against Minneapolis on the 30th.
