Basketball Game Preview: Sheyenne Mustangs vs. West Fargo Packers

The Sheyenne Mustangs will challenge the West Fargo Packers at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Sheyenne didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Fargo North, but they still walked away with a 63-58 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, West Fargo won against Fargo South on Thursday with 80 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. West Fargo simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fargo South 80-48. That's two games straight that the Packers have won by exactly 32 points.

Sheyenne has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for West Fargo, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-11.

Sheyenne strolled past West Fargo in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 60-45. Will Sheyenne repeat their success, or does West Fargo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
