Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln vs. Eagle Rock

Lincoln hasn't had much luck against Eagle Rock recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lincoln Tigers will host the Eagle Rock Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Lincoln is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Wilson.

Lincoln's goal came courtesy of Edwin Dolores, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Eagle Rock's offense. They came up short against Marshall on Wednesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 775th, while the Barristers are ranked 189th).

Eagle Rock's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-3-2. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-2.
