Volleyball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the O'Connor Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 two weeks ago.

Liberty was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made O'Connor work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 23-25, 25-13, 25-15.

Among those leading the charge was Diego Garcia, who had eight digs and two aces.

Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for O'Connor, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-8-1.

Liberty has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Desert Vista on the 30th. As for O'Connor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Brophy College Prep on the 30th.
