Volleyball Recap: Forest City Takes a Loss

Forest City extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 3-0 to the Valley View Cougars. The Foresters were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Valley View's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Valley View got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Madison Hallock out in front who had 12 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Hallock has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Hanarra Semedo-Timas, who had nine kills and three blocks.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Forest City will square off against rival North Pocono at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Valley View is set to face off against their familiar foe Susquehanna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
