Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cannon). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Charlotte Christian Knights 95-19. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Knights are ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cannon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khloe Thompson, who went 7 for 13 on her way to 18 points and six steals.
